This mixed residential and commercial development consisted of a total of 686 residential apartments, anchored by 11,500 m2 of retail space, including retail, dining, medical and childcare facilities, all adjacent to Rhodes Station. The technical structure and impressive height were no challenge for Austral SF as we approached the 39 level project rigorously through our safety and construction methodologies, with minimal lost time and injury.
On level 8, the cantilever transfer slab was supported by an 8-storey column at 2 meters in diameter. 160 tonnes of steel went into this particular element of work to help support the remaining 31 storeys.
A heliostat was installed on the roof of this 39 storey building. It’s an elevated 6 storey high horseshoe-shaped structure purposely engineered and built provide natural light for the adjacent buildings on the southern side of the main building. We reinforced the base of the structure, with over 83 tonnes going into the base footings, pads and slab.

As Office Administrator, Diogo is responsible for payroll and progress claims. In addition to this, he conducts administrative duties and manages the supply and replenishment of consumables in the company.

Marcia helps the executives with tasks such as scheduling; reviewing, prioritising, and responding to emails; answering and returning phone calls; organising documents; maintaining records; taking notes at meetings, and any other administrative tasks that help the executive perform their job.
WHS/QA Manager
In this role, Peter is charged with the implementation of Quality Assurance programs and the Workplace Health and Safety portfolio. He also conducts safety inspections, ensuring that our staff and the project are secure and operating within national and state guidelines.
Materials Manager
Filipe supervises our warehouse operations. This involves stocktake of warehouse goods and tracking incoming and outgoing inventory. For quality control in the warehouse, Phil is also responsible for power tool test and tagging.
Operations Manager
George oversees the daily operation of the business as well as the implementation of Quality Standards, Codes of Conduct, and Standard Operating procedures. He’s in charge of the performance management and rostering of on-site personnel. George is a key part of maintaining our client relationships and is also involved in the IR and HR Management of the company.
